Boat Permits & Storage
At the onset of the lake in 1965, boaters purchased metal, diamond-shaped boat permits. These metal plates had to be screwed into your boat. Fortunately, making holes in your boat is no longer necessary!

Daily permits sell for $25 per day or $75 per year. Annual permits expire on December 31. Boat permits are required for all motorized boats using the lake.

Please note: All vessels located below the 420 contour line must have the annual sticker. Homeowners have until June 1st or the first time the vessel is on the water to obtain this permit.

Six launch pads, boardwalks, piers, and a large parking area provide convenience for boat launchers. The Person-Caswell Lake Authority offers a covered, gated storage facility with 36 inside storage bays for $450 per year (January 1st to December 31st, first year is pro-rated). There is outdoor storage offered at $360 per year. Renters are given a key and have 24-hour access to their vessels.
